I will move on to the actual apartment itself. Upon moving in the carpets were very old, outdated and filthy. Even after steaming myself, they were still filthy. The appliances are old and outdated. Stove was worn out, dishwasher was very small and there was no microwave, had to go out and purchase one. Tubs are standard size and showerheads were old and outdated and the laundry "room" is merely a closet in the same area as the water heater. If you have larger units, there is no getting them in the cramped space. The walls are paper thin which doesn't help that the property is pet friendly because if your neighbor has a dog it will feel as if you do as well when it barks. Also keep in mind if you complain about that nothing will be done but watch TV or have a conversation above a whisper and you will get a letter from the landlord threatening to throw you out. Speaking of the property being pet friendly, my unit was covered in cat hair when I first moved in. I'm talking in the cupboards, on the carpets and in the closets. I have no issue with pets but take some pride in your property and at least clean units when people move out. Breezeways are all wood and all outdated, infested with spiders and seem to never be cleaned or taken care of. Maintenance must be too busy worrying about what somebody is putting in the trash to do that. Residents will put out food for outside cats which draws the attention of other animals such as raccoons and rats, and bee's nests are never removed. I was stung twice in the year I lived here and it was laughed about.

Finally I will speak on the issue that bothered me more than anything. My apartment began to reek of mildew in the Summer when the A/C would run. It eventually started to smell up my clothing and anything that was out in the apartment that was no covered, it even led to me thinking my allergies were bothering me but looking back I feel it was the mildew causing me to feel ill. I would be willing to bet the ventilation in the apartments is rarely serviced if ever.

I will start with the unprofessionalism of the office staff and maintenance crew. The office is pretty much nothing more than a closet attached to an outdated clubhouse that is not available for residents. There is no staff rather than the owner, some other guy floating around and a maintenance guy. To catch any of them in the office is almost a miracle. There is no paying rent online, you have to slide your check or money order through a slot in the door as if you were living in another generation. Speaking of the maintenance guy, I think he spends most of his time lurking around seeing what people are doing rather than his job. I put in a number of maintenance calls due to the poor quality of my apartment and it would take days for him to show up, but let somebody park where they shouldn't or throw big items in the dumpster and he is all over it. The pool is fairly nice but the one across the street at Allandale Falls is kept cleaner and actually has amenities to go with it.

Then these are,by far,the BEST. Everything is clean and well maintained and the staff is great about taking care of anything that needs doing-they are also obviously VERY selective in who they rent to,as all my neighbors seem like nice clean-cut law abiding people. As the other reviewer stated though, the walls are VERY thin...you will hear whatever your neighbors are doing!!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I most certainly would! I have lived in apartments in a number of different states due to my profession and constant moving. I chose Bradley Hills because it was close to my job and seemed to be a more modern, peaceful community. I would soon learn different on a number of levels.

I lived in the 'F' building (2 bedroom) from 1997 - 1998. It was probably the nicest apartments in Kpt during that time. If i chose not to continue being a homeowner, this would be my first choice of apartment living. The only complaint that I have is that the wall seperating the apartments are too thin. I could lay in bed and hear the telephone ringing and the answering machine messages from the apartment next door. Other than that... all was good!

I would suggest staying away from this place unless you can avoid it. There is not a lot to choose from in Kingsport as far as apartment living is concerned but this is not a good place to live. Country Shores and Brandy Mill are more modern and probably more taken care of and if you work for BAE Allandale Falls may be the better of the two across the street. I would avoid at all cost due to management and maintenance. If I were to ever move here again, I would stay in a hotel before I stayed here, it was awful!

Very rude leasing agents. Kicked me out on assumptions that my company was loud because they were black. Like im the only one with black company..i worked overnight 12hr shifts..door got kicked in..no cameras according to them..but supposedly cameras r there when it came to whos company was there

I moved here back in march, I absolutely LOVE this place! Where I used to live I couldn't get out in my wheelchair but living here I can do that and the neighbors are so nice. I don't hear anything going on in the other apartments whatsoever. So I definitely recommend Bradley Hills apartments. You will NOT regret it.
